DeliCARtessen is a platform on the web to buy and sell cars where a seller can put his car for sale and people that are interested can bid for it in an auction to buy it. If the seller prefers, the sale can be done in a traditional manner, selling the car at a fixed price.
This sales transaction of a car advertised on DeliCARtessen, will be executed without any intermediaries, since we only perform the role of filtering the best cars.
Additionally, we can provide tools that will help when buying or selling, but we will not intervene in any way in the final transaction which will end with the signature of a sales contract between two private parties in which DeliCARtessen will not appear.
Taking part in the sales market as car enthusiast, we became aware of the things we didn’t like about the process. We noticed the things we do wrong when we want to buy or sell a car.
First of all we find listings of very low quality, with hardly any relevant information about the car on sale, with poor photos that don’t show the product and in some occasions, hardly any disposition from the seller to facilitate the process.
And second, it takes a lot of time and effort to find a good car between the thousands that are on sale and sometimes we buy a car without doing some simple verifications that could save us a lot of grief.
We find owners of fantastic cars selling it for a lot less than its value, just to not have to go through this sales process in which they clearly don’t trust. And at the same time, a lot of buyers end up buying a new car, spending a lot more money, because likewise they don’t trust the cars offered in the current used car market
That’s why we decided to create an environment that provides trust and that gives tools to both buyers and seller so they can be completely satisfied with the purchase of their next car.
It is very common when a secondhand car is put up for sale, to see the people interested ask the same things and ask for the same information over and over again (How many owners did it have? ¿Do you have good photos to see the car before seeing it in person? Etc..)
Our philosophy is first of all, to create quality listings. And we understand there is quality when a possible buyer has no doubts what so ever about the state of the car he’s looking at. Everything is resolved and visible.
And second but just as important, we firmly believe that everything is a lot easier when there is honesty and transparency during the process. This generates trust, which makes the purchasing process must more satisfactory for both parties.

As a Seller ...
We can’t know that until you send it to us 🙂
But we can tell you already that we don’t go by the possible price of the car. It is the same for us if it will be sold for 1.000€ or 100.000€. Our goal is to select the most special units.
Anyway, we will always be polite. If we think your car doesn’t fit on the platform, we’ll just tell you and you won’t have lost anything. So we invite you to send us your car.

You will only have to pay that amount once we have decided to include your car on DeliCARtessen and at the beginning of the process. You will have to pay this amount independently if the car is sold or not. You will not pay any more if the car is finally sold, just the 80€.
As a launch promotion, we aren’t charging anything to use our platform to sell your car.

You should fill out the form following this link: “Send us your car” which is in the main menu of the site. With that simple step we’ll receive you car’s information and if we decide to include it, we’ll contact you to start the process.
If you choose for a direct sale, YES, you can list it wherever you want without a problem. However, if you choose to auction your car, that would be counter-productive for you. That’s why in that case, you will sign an exclusive contract with us and you can NOT list your car in other portals.
When you go and buy a used car you would like to have all the information about it before making the purchase and if you ask the owner questions, you expect him to clarify your doubts. So answering every question potential buyers could ask you is in your benefit.
A seller that doesn’t answer simple and direct questions normally generates distrust. So we recommend you regularly answer all the questions and that you be accessible at all time.
Yes, of course.
We are convinced of the importance of some good photos when selling a product on the internet, so we will assist you in everything you need to get some spectacular pictures of your car.
If possible, we ourselves will visit the car to make the photos, without any extra charge for you. And if you also believe in the importance of the photos and you want to, we can put you in contact with professional photographers specialized in car photography.
We will not charge you for this service nor will we benefit from it. It will be between you and the photographer.
The reports or certificates we include in the sales document are included in the entry fee of 80 euro that every seller pays. So no extra has to be paid for the D.G.T. or CarFax (if available) report.
If you want to include any extra special certificate, like for example a from the manufacturer of other organism, you will have to provide it and any cost will be on your account.
Initially we only work with private sellers, … but we have never been able to resist a really special car.
If you consider this to be the case and you are interested, you can send us the information of the car but you need to indicate in the form that you are a professional. We will indicate this very clearly in the sales document.
If we choose your car and it is sold, you will need to act according to all regulations of the law (Invoice, Warranty, etc).
As a Buyer ...
For those cars which are listed as direct sale we don’t charge anything, nothing, free! You will pay the value of the car to the seller and the costs derived from the sale (transport, taxes, etc) if not specified otherwise.
In the questions related to Auctions we specify the costs associated to buying a car in auction or sealed auction.
All the cars listed in DeliCARtessen, exist, are for sale, are legally verified and we’ll present them to you with photos as up to date as possible so you can verify the CURRENT status of the car.
It’s the owners that send us their cars to be listed on DeliCARtessen. Without any intermediary. We only select and offer the best and most exciting examples from the ones we receive.
The owner of the car has the final word on the amount of money he wants to sell his car for. We can recommend but the final price is ALWAYS set by the seller.
For a direct sale you will be able to find the seller’s contact data in the listing and you are free to contact the seller whenever you want.
If the seller decides to put his car on auction you will not have the seller’s contact information and you can only contact the seller through comments in the sales document on our site.
Whenever you bid for a car you are agreeing on paying that amount of money for that particular car, exactly in the state as shown and specified.
If when reviewing the car in person you find something which was not specified in the sales document and it’s severe enough not to buy the car, you will be refunded the commission without a problem and you will be in no obligation to buy the car.
In every aspect this is a purchase between consumers, so mechanical warranty is not mandatory by law.
Warranty will be included in cars that are relatively new and still have factory warranty or in cases where the seller wants to include some type of warranty as an extra.
In those cases, it will be clearly specified that warranty is included.
When buying a secondhand car, everone has someone in which we trust when reviewing the car. Yourself, a family member, a friend or a mechanic in which we put all our trust.
We have a process of verification before publishing a car, … but probably not all buyers would value this method the same way and it would not be very useful.
Simply put, verifying the car where and the way you want, is the best way to be 100% satisfied.
Of course you can. As a buyer there are no limitations and you will always be able to buy or bid for a car on DeliCARtessen.
As a Seller ...
It is the minimum price for which you would accept selling your car.
If the highest bid is higher than that amount, the operation will take place. But if not, you don’t have to make the sale.
You. It is your car and you will have the final word on all sales conditions.
We will act as consultants and we can help you make some decisions and guide you if you need it. But it is you who decides the minimum reserve price.
No, the reserve price will not be visible at any point.
Everything. What the buyer offers will be completely yours.
No. Auctions cannot be canceled once started.
If for any reason you want to retire a car from an auction we will be forced to charge a fee.
If the buyer finds some fault or defect on the car that was not specified, he will not be forced to buy the car.
In this case, we will discuss with you the possibility to offer it to the second highest bidder of to retire the car from sale.
We wish for you to always have good results, even if the reserve price is not met.
In this case, we will contact you and we could try to negotiate with the highest bidder, as long as his bid is not to far of the reserve price.

Participating is completely free. You can bid as often as you want.
The duration of an auction is 7 days.
If for whatever reason another duration is used it will be clearly specified.
No. If the car is being auctioned you can only buy it participating in the auction.
No. A bid placed cannot be canceled.
With the only exception being a CLEAR typographic error. If this is the case, contact us and we’ll try to fix it as soon as possible.
If you win an auction you will have to pay the value of the car, or in other words, the winning bid, plus our fee which is 4% of that bid.

Yes. Our commission is always 4% of the winning bid of an auction.
With a minimum of 150€ for those sales that close below 3.750€ and a maximum of 5.000€ for those sales that close higher than 125.000€.
Immediately after finishing an auction, if you have won the auction with a bid higher than the reserve price, we will send you an email with the award sheet in which the costs of the operation are specified.
In that moment you should pay the fee.
Once we receive payment we will put you in contact with the seller to continue the operation.
